Position Summary: |
Plans, schedules, documents, and supports service delivery for events using established policies and procedures to meet customer need and ensure event compliance with institutional policy in the School of Media, Arts & Communication with a particular focus on the UWO Athletic Band Program (Titan Thunder Marching Band and Bolt Pep Band).

Responsibilities |

Communicates with customers to determine event details and requirements, evaluates requests, recommends service plans and pricing, and provides status updates.

Schedules logistics and secures resources for all aspects of events including space, vendors, and staff; and coordinates details and resolves operational issues. Attendance at Marching Band home performances is required and may include some evening and weekend Music events.

Scheduling events facilities and organizing student staff, including scheduling and approving hours. Identifies, proposes, and implements new or revised unit operational policies and procedures

Oversees annual budget and manages expenditures, including state and foundation accounts (monitoring expenditures, verifying, and reconciling accounts, preparing, and processing POs and invoices, purchase of materials, and PCard use)

Serves as a first point of contact for individuals and groups, providing basic organizational information via phone, in person, and electronic media

Greets customers/guests, assists with registration, answers questions, and refers complex issues to appropriate entities
