Position Summary:

Responsibilities · 80% time staffing the Testing Services front desk: answering phones and email, greeting candidates, students and instructors as they enter. Directing people to the correct area of testing. Strong customer service skills are required. · 10% time Akindi software manager.   • Schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and work unit.
  •  Serves as a first point of contact for individuals and groups, provides basic organizational information via phone, in person and through other communication mediums and routes more complex inquires to the appropriate entities.
  •  Collects, analyzes, and prepares various communication materials from established sources utilizing technology mediums.
  •  Sends, receives, copies, and distributes communications to the appropriate entities according to established policies and procedures under general supervision.
  •  Maintains established methods and organizational systems directed at the maintenance of electronic/physical records related to work operations according to established policies and procedures.
  •  Assists other office staff as needed, including becoming trained to back up other areas in the event of vacations or emergencies, attends and participates in staff meetings, participates in professional development as needed.
  • High school diploma
  • Prior experience using a variety of written and verbal communication methods or styles to connect with customers and/or stakeholders 
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and make decisions
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Associates degree and/or relevant work experience (in customer service OR a Testing environment)
  • Demonstrated ability creating/using databases and/or queries
  • Solid working knowledge of UW Oshkosh
