Position Summary: Plan, coordinate and implement developmentally appropriate care for children
Responsibilities

80% - Serve as the teacher in one of our classrooms during upcoming family leave: Plan, coordinate, and implement the developmentally appropriate care of children assigned to the classroom; including but not limited to - the development and implementation of an educational curriculum, timely and developmentally appropriate assessment of the children and their developmental progress, attending and participating in weekly staff meetings

5% - Assist with the care of other groups at opening, closing, lunch breaks and other times when necessary.

5% - Manage the student Childcare Aides in his/her area under the supervision of the Center Director & Assistant Director

5% - Communicate effectively with children’s parents/guardians

5% - Assist in maintaining compliance of State Licensing Rules, YoungStar and AdvanceEd National Accreditation Standards

Qualifications  
Required: Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related degree
Experience teaching in an early childhood classroom (toddler or preschool)
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or Human Services
Training in and experience in Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards and The Pyramid Model
