Position Summary:

The EMSS Manager serves as the team lead facilitator for the EMSS division in its use of technology and other such tools to improve processes to ensure the division meets its goals related to recruitment and retention of students. This person will collaborate across the unit and the campus to analyze, interpret, and present data to inform projects and initiatives that will improve enrollment and student success. This position will focus on leveraging and integrating technology tools such as Salesforce, Navigate, Granular, and ATP to ensure we have data to drive strategy and campus adopts and utilizes technology tools to improve student outcomes. This position will support the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management and Marketing (AVCEMM) in planning, goal setting, prioritization, and assessment of enrollment and student success initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Serves as the lead for technology tools that drive enrollment strategies and retention efforts for campus; function as a power user to ensure comprehensive use and adoption of tools such as Navigate and Salesforce, among others.  

  • Serves as the main liaison with outside vendors as needed to ensure timely project completion and communication with stakeholders. 

  • Uses the predictive modeling and reporting capabilities in tools such as Navigate, Salesforce, and Granular to tie concepts and themes together from different data sources to inform strategies and best practices.  

  • Develops and implements processes, guides staff, analyzes data, and summarizes complex initiatives for the EMSS division help guide process development and refinement.  

  • Assists in the development, implementation, and training on the best use of technology tools within the EMSS division.  

  • Designs and implements processes for the preparation of reports and other resources and leads the presentation of materials through various communication platforms 

  • Specializes in helping the Enrollment and Marketing teams visualize data to make informed decisions and priorities stakeholder requests and projects. 

  • Works collaboratively across campus to create and/or change process and practice to leverage technology tools to improve the student experience. 

  • Lead the EMSS assessment initiatives in collaboration with Institutional Effectiveness. 

  • Collaborate across campus in partnership with EMSS Directors to ensure best practice in use of our CRM and Student Success tools.   

Qualifications  
Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree   
  • Knowledge of student success and support best practices.
  • Ability to learn and leverage software and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of change management strategies and operationalization of such strategies. 
  • Ability to conceptualize and create data visualizations to inform process improvement.
  • Strong working knowledge of Navigate. 
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
 

 
Preferred: 

  • Master’s Degree 
  • Working knowledge of enrollment milestones and processes. 
  • Experience with CRM platform(s)**
  • Experience in enrollment management
  • Experience in a student success area
