Position Summary: Come join a great team as the Compliance Specialist II.  The Compliance Specialist II compiles and classifies reports, issues notifications, assists with creation and maintenance of manuals and public information; and manages unit administrative documents in support of a specific compliance program to ensure compliance with institutional rules and or laws/regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Collects, compiles, and organizes reports for a defined compliance program and communicates data to internal and external stakeholders when appropriate
  • Issues compliance notifications and provides education and resources to inquiring entities
  • Assists with the creation and the maintenance of manuals, communication materials, and other compliance materials in accordance with established laws and regulations
  • Advises and consults with hiring units on effective ways to recruit qualified and diverse applicant pools
  • Complies with and responds to internal and external AA/EEO requests
Qualifications  
Required:
  • Bachelors degree
  • High tolerance for ambiguity
  • Experience with the implementation or interpretation of policies, procedures, or administration of programs.
  • Two years of experience in a relevant position to be able to complete the responsibilities of the position 
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Preferred:
  • Experience in a compliance related function
  • Experience writing technical or investigative reports
  • Advanced level knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action, or Title VII
  • Experience in interpreting, applying, and monitoring Equal Employment Opportunity laws and policies.
