Position Summary: |
The biology program at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh invites applications for an assistant professor position beginning September 2025. This tenure-track faculty position will involve teaching courses in introductory biology, molecular & cell biology, genetics, and an upper-level elective in the candidate’s area of expertise (e.g., cell signaling, development). Our teaching expectations include the ability to teach in multiple modalities such as online (synchronous or asynchronous) and hybrid courses, due to the changing needs of our students. The successful candidate will pursue an active research program, involving undergraduate and master’s students, perform campus and community service, service to the profession, as well as be given the opportunity to participate in program and campus governance. Responsibilities |
Teach undergraduate courses in introductory biology, molecular cell biology, genetics and any relevant upper-level elective. Contribute to the biology course curriculum, fostering a strong foundation for undergraduate students. Develop and maintain an active research program that involves undergraduate and/or graduate students. Participate in student advising, service activities, and curriculum development. |
