Position Summary:

As a member of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh undergraduate recruitment and enrollment team this position provides administrative support in the processing and review of applications for admission and assists in the recruitment of future Titans.

Responsibilities
  • Processes incoming applications and accompanying transcripts, test scores, recommendation letters, and other credentials.
  • Enter data from application into various admissions systems.
  • Execute daily data imports into a variety of systems.
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of data via regular quality checks and other methods.
  • Serves as back-up coverage for the admissions reception front desk answering phones and assisting prospective students and families as needed.
  • Troubleshoot data and system errors to ensure data integrity.
  • Respond to questions about the status of a student’s application via telephone and email.
  • Review, evaluate, and responds to student applications according to established policies and procedures.
  • Complete mail merge, printing, and mailing process of various admissions communications.
  • Take responsibility for developing an understanding of the admissions and enrollment process in order to assist other staff and students.
  • Provide excellent customer service in person, on the phone, including voicemail, and via email.
  • Manage student change requests including major, campus, term, information, and application cancellation.
  • Support campus event days as needed.
  • Coordinate specific projects as assigned by director or assistant directors.
Qualifications  
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills. Experience organizing and maintaining electronic filing and records systems. Previous experience with computerized information databases.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with a wide variety of constituents.
  • Demonstrated experience organizing and prioritizing workload.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently and coordinating with team members.
Preferred:
  • Experience working in admissions or other related student services area at the post-secondary level.
  • Experience working with Oracle Peoplesoft or Salesforce CRM.
