The UWO Counseling Center has openings to join a talented, supportive, and fun counseling team in servicing our amazing Titan students. Our counselor positions provide individual and group counseling, crisis management, consultation, outreach and training and a wide array of positive psychology/wellness services. Provides professional mental health counseling and consultation services for the campus community, incorporates a brief therapeutic model to address the emotional and behavioral needs of students, creates developmental programming to increase healthy lifestyle and coping behaviors across campus, and provides strategic direction and advocacy for university mental health policy and initiatives. 

• Provides individual and group counseling to students struggling with developmental and/or personal mental health issues and refers students to appropriate community resources
• Provides counseling and/or information and referral services to faculty and staff
• Facilitates skill-building and process-oriented groups
• Prepares presentations and outreach activities and facilitates student adjustment and success programs to promote a healthy campus
• Serves on multidisciplinary campus committees

Masters Degree in mental health related field.

Ability to be fully licensed in the state of Wisconsin within the first two years of employment.

Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Understanding and commitment to positive psychology practices.

Risk assessment and treatment experience.

PhD preferred.

Fully licensed in the state of Wisconsin.

Previous employment in a college counseling center. 

At least four years post graduate work in a mental health setting.
