Position Summary: |
The International Student Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator at UW Oshkosh is responsible for managing the admissions process for international students and driving the university's international recruitment efforts. This role includes application review, rendering admissions decisions based on university policy, and communicating decisions to applicants. The Coordinator ensures compliance with immigration regulations, oversees the processing of application materials, and leverages data-driven approaches to enhance both recruitment and operational efficiency. As the primary contact for international applicants, this individual plays a critical role in guiding students from application to enrollment.

Responsibilities |
1. Strategic Planning and Development:
- In collaboration with Admissions leadership, develop and implement an international student recruitment strategy to enhance diversity and increase international student enrollment at UW Oshkosh.
- Collaborate with divisional leadership to establish international enrollment goals.
2. Compliance and Documentation:
- Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Responsible Officer (RO), ensuring all processes comply with U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement regulations.
- Issue initial and transfer immigration documentation for newly admitted international students.
3. Admissions and Processing:
- Receive, evaluate, and process international student applications, ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures.
- Review foreign educational credentials, ensuring authenticity and adherence to academic standards. Provide guidance on the evaluation of secondary and post-secondary academic records.
- Render admissions decisions based on established criteria, ensuring timely, accurate, and fair assessment of applicants.
- Communicate admissions decisions to applicants promptly, offering clear explanations and guidance regarding the next steps.
4. Recruitment and Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with recruitment agencies, educational institutions, ESL programs, and other stakeholders to enhance UWO’s visibility in global markets.
- Represent UW Oshkosh at international recruitment and yield events to build relationships and increase the applicant pool.
5. Primary Contact for International Students:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective and admitted international students, offering support throughout the application and enrollment process, including visa and documentation assistance.
- Provide prompt and clear communication regarding application status, admissions decisions, and next steps for enrollment.
6. Technology and Data Management:
- Leverage technology, including Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) systems, to streamline the admissions and application review process, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Apply data-driven strategies to expand international recruitment markets and improve application processing timelines.
7. Scholarships and Funding:
- Oversee the awarding of Titan Global Scholars international student scholarship program, ensuring accurate review and disbursement of funds to eligible applicants.
8. Professional Development:
- Engage in ongoing professional development, staying current with trends and best practices in international admissions, student recruitment, and enrollment management.
9. Campus Involvement:
- Serve on campus-wide committees focusing on international recruitment, student success, and enrollment initiatives.
Conditions:
- The position requires a varying schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- International and domestic travel will be required.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be authorized to drive a university vehicle at the time of appointment.
- Candidates must possess or have the ability to obtain necessary travel documents required for international and domestic travel.
- Some work may be performed remotely with supervisor approval, but in-person work at a designated campus location is required.

Qualifications |

Required: |
- Bachelor’s degree in international education, intercultural communication, business, marketing, sales, or related field.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be authorized to drive a university vehicle at the time of appointment.
- Candidates must possess or have the ability to obtain necessary travel documents required for international and domestic travel.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States at the time of hire and throughout employment. UW Oshkosh does not sponsor H-1B or other work authorization visa sponsorship for this position.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Preferred: |
- Master’s degree in international education, intercultural communication, business, marketing, sales, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in international education, admissions, or student recruitment.
- Experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and other admissions processing software.
- Experience with foreign credential evaluation.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft and Perceptive Content systems.
