Police Sergeant in Oshkosh Campus
This position is responsible for all aspects of the supervision of patrol officers. The Police Sergeant conducts daily briefings, schedules work, participates with and oversees the activities of officers, organizes employee training, trains and evaluates police officers, creates schedules and approves payroll for employees, and oversees the overall operations of the Community Service Officer (student employee) Program. The Police Sergeant must also frequently perform the same tasks as subordinates. During the University’s non-business hours, the Police Sergeant is often the highest ranking law enforcement official on campus and is expected to make most decisions without consulting a higher authority. This position will report directly to the Director of Institutional Effectiveness. IE is a small, hard-working team committed to advancing research, strategic planning, and data-informed decision-making at UW Oshkosh. We support academic initiatives deemed priority or important by the Provost and the leaders in Academic Affairs. This position is an in-office work assignment. Financial Specialist III in Oshkosh Campus
Under general supervision of the Controller, the incumbent in this position performs Accounts Payable duties within the Financial Services unit of the Division of Administrative Services. This position is responsible for: pre-auditing and processing payment, accounts payable documentation related to direct payment requests, payment to individual reports, speaker and entertainment contracts, purchase orders, and meal requisitions. The incumbent participates in the maintenance automated financial record keeping systems. The incumbent is responsible for responding to inquiries from university administrators, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders. These responses require knowledge of the financial and administrative procedures and policies of the University, the UW System, and relevant State and Federal agencies. The incumbent may provide department staff training, and trains limited term employees, project appointments and student employees. The incumbent reports directly to the Controller. Hybrid remote work may be available after the successful completion of the initial training period. Please note that the remote work policy is subject to change at the discretion of the department or university. Social Media Specialist in Oshkosh Campus
The Social Media Specialist handles University-wide social media and similar digital platforms, monitors engagement, handles inquiries, develops communications strategy and content calendars, and creates and publishes relevant content. This position will also handle internal paid advertising and prepare/disseminate relevant analytics to track use and effectiveness of social media posts and paid advertising. Typical work hours are 7:45 to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, as well as evenings and weekends as needed. A hybrid work schedule may be considered.
