Position Summary:
Come join a great team as the AA/EEO Specialist.  The AA/EEO Specialist updates the Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity (AA/EO) database, performs data analysis, and completes administrative and program development activities to help resolve matters affecting employer/employee relationships and in the development of recruitment plans for institutional vacancies while ensuring compliance with federal and state AA/EO laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Advises and consults with hiring units on effective ways to recruit qualified and diverse applicant pools
  • Serves as a subject matter expert to unit leadership regarding unit operations and functions
  • Assists with implementation of the annual Affirmative Action plan for institutions, in accordance with federal laws and regulations
  • Complies with and responds to internal and external AA/EEO workforce data requests
  • Prepares, compiles, and analyzes statistical reports addressing AA/EEO and diversity data various systems and platforms
  • Recommends strategies for addressing complex issues regarding diversity regulations, best practices, and policy interpretation
Qualifications  
Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with implementation or interpretation of policies, procedures, or administration of programs
  • A high tolerance for ambiguity in an environment of constant change
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Preferred:
  • Master's Degree
  • Demonstrated experience in interpreting, applying, and monitoring Equal Employment Opportunity laws and policies
  • Advanced level knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action, or Title VII
  • Experienced in writing technical or investigative reports
  • Experience investigating discrimination cases (Including: party and witness interviews, document review, conducting on-site investigations, and analyzing evidence)
