Position Summary:

Oversees daily operations of selected sports programs, and the coordination of various administrative functions within areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities

Oversees administrative areas and department initiatives which may include sports administration and other key functions

Responsible for policy development, budget planning and ongoing staff development

Develops, communicates, and monitors goals for areas of responsibility that support strategic plans and department initiatives

Ensures compliance with department policies as well as bylaws, rules, regulations and interpretations of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC), and all applicable conferences with which the University may be affiliated

Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees

Qualifications

 

Required:

Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Bachelor’s degree in athletic administration or related field.

Valid drivers license.

3 or more years of experience in managing eligibility and compliance for Division III and relevant experience in athletic administration.

Understanding of Division III Philosophy.

Effective written and oral communication, public relations and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

Master's degree in athletic administration or related field.

Professional background in college athletics, coaching, event management and marketing.

Experience in supervision and evaluation of professional staff.

Demonstrated ability to manage eligibility and compliance for a Division III athletics department.
