Position Summary:

The Department of Psychology at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh invites applications for an Assistant Professor position beginning September 2022 at our Fond du Lac two-year campus. This tenure-track faculty position will involve teaching courses in General Psychology, Statistics, Developmental Psychology, and other Psychology courses as deemed necessary. Classes are most likely to be assigned at the Fond du Lac campus, with the expectation of online, remote, or hybrid modalities, as necessary to meet student and/or institutional needs.

In addition to a continued focus on teaching excellence, the successful candidate will pursue scholarly and professional development, perform campus and institutional service activities, and participate in department and campus governance.

Our students are a mix of traditional and non-traditional age, including many first-generation college students. Responsibilities
  • This tenure-track faculty position will involve teaching courses in General Psychology, Statistics, Developmental Psychology, and other Psychology courses as deemed necessary. Classes are most likely to be assigned at the Fond du Lac campus, with the expectation of online, remote, or hybrid modalities, as necessary to meet student and/or institutional needs. 
  • In addition to a continued focus on teaching excellence, the successful candidate will pursue scholarly and professional development, perform campus and institutional service activities, and participate in department and campus governance.
Qualifications  
Required:
  • Ph.D. in Psychology; specialty area open. ABD candidates will be considered, provided the Ph.D. is confirmed by the start of appointment.  
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Preferred:
  • Teaching experience at the college freshman/sophomore level, especially involving teaching and engaging diverse student populations.
