The Director of OCE Advising will supervise the advising/recruitment team for OCE. This position will set policy; maintain consistency of advising and recruitment practices; allocate responsibilities to OCE advisors/recruiters; ensure best practices and collaboration within the department and division; and encourage professional development of all. The director will also work closely with the rest of the division leadership team to ensure a cohesive division.
The position will analyze the impact of existing enrollment initiatives, develop new enrollment metrics, identify and quantify opportunities for growth, and help increase and shape enrollments. The director will use data, analysis, and consultation that guide strategic and operational decision making.
The director helps to investigate the education needs of business and industry. This position will work with the Assitant Vice Chancellor and other directors to guide the new program development process from initial idea development and market analysis to development and launch of the new program.
The director will work collaboratively with University Marketing and Communications (UMC) to analyze marketing data to make informed decisions that will increase program recruitment and enrollment. The incumbent will also oversee the administration of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems used in the division.

OCE Advising Team Leader
1. Provide leadership and strategic planning for recruitment and advising for OCE programs. 2. Provide guidance and direction on student needs as it relates to course rotation and schedule development. 3. Manage personnel evaluations, recruitments and retention of advising and recruitment staff. 4. Function as one of the division's liaisons, as needed, between UWO and other members of the UW System, other UW institutions and divisions, Wisconsin Technical Colleges and various government, business and industry and school organizations through service on committees and task forces. 5. Coordinate and work with UWO campus units to ensure adequacy and consistency of student support services for OCE online students. 6. Serve as an advocate and voice for OCE to campus support departments, colleges, administration officers and UW System. 7. Market programs to meet business and industry workforce needs. 8. Overseeing/facilitating the formulation, review, and maintenance of agreements with partner technical schools (i.e., Articulation). 9. Work with the Asisstant Vice Chancellor of OCE and Associate Vice Chancellor for Curricular Affairs on articulation agreements with US and International colleges and universities. 10. Facilitate the formulation, review, and maintenance of operational agreements with UWO offices and departments (i.e. MOU's). 11. Evaluate and when appropriate implement robust student support services aimed at supporting student success and retention.
OCE Enrollment Data Analysis
1. Increase prospective student engagement and recruitment through data analysis. 2. Report on trends, innovations, and best practices in higher education. 3. Develop enrollment goals and metrics to keep team on target. 4. Gather and analyze appropriate information and appropriately use the information as improvement benchmark/metrics.
1. Compile and analyze marketing data for trends, behavior patterns, and strategies to make informed marketing decisions in collaboration with University Marketing and Communications (UMC). 2. Interpret marketing data, formulate reports, and make recommendations to help increase program recruitment and enrollment for the division.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
1. Oversee the administration of prospective student CRM. 2. Analyze CRM reports and track lead generation and conversion. 3. Collaborate with UMC to develop marketing campaigns. 4. Oversee direct communications with customers through the CRM.
