Position Summary: |
The primary teaching responsibilities would be in the finance area for the undergraduate program. The instructor must be able to teach the following two courses: Finance 331 Essentials of Finance and Finance 335 International Business Finance. The instructor should be able to teach some of the following courses: Finance 340 Risk Management and Insurance; Finance 334 Investment Management; Finance 351 Financial Planning and Risk Management; Finance 445 Insurance Company Operations. The instructor must be able to prepare and hold classes in the following course delivery methods: face-to-face; hybrid; and online. Teaching involves evaluating students’ work, assessing student outcomes, maintaining appropriate records, holding office hours, mentoring students, and advising students. Full-time lecturers provide some service to the department (e.g., advising student clubs, committee assignments, and curriculum development). Other duties may be assigned by the chair or dean.
Teaching is the primary mission of UW Oshkosh and full-time lecturers must maintain professional qualifications necessary for accreditation.

Responsibilities |
50% Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance.
15% Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations.
10% Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction.
10% Engages in professional development to insure their qualifications are consistent with Department, College and University standards.
15% Provides service to the department and college.

Required: |
· A Master’s Degree in Business, Ph.D. in Finance, or D.B.A. in Finance from an AACSB-accredited institution or from an institution with commensurate credentials;
· Nine credits of graduate level coursework in finance from an AACSB-accredited institution or from an institution with commensurate credentials or industry experience having significant finance responsibilities;
· A record of excellence in teaching or potential for excellence in teaching in finance;
· A record of professional experiences and/or professional development activities demonstrating expertise in finance;
· Ability to work collaboratively.
· Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

Preferred: |
· Demonstrated willingness and ability to support collegial and inclusive work environment.
· Demonstrated willingness to provide service to the department, college, university, profession, and community.
· Excellent academic performance (e.g., grades, awards).
· Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and/or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
