Position Summary: The Department of Biology at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh invites applications for an Assistant Professor position beginning September 2021 at our Fox Cities Campus. This tenure-track faculty position will involve teaching courses in Introductory Biology, Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, and Microbiology. The successful candidate will pursue scholarly and professional development, perform campus and institutional service activities and participate in department and campus governance.

Our students are a mix of traditional and non-traditional age, including many first-generation college students. We are committed to delivering the first two years of a high-quality liberal arts education and a strong foundation for those who wish to pursue professional, occupational and advanced academic degrees. The campus is located in the city of Menasha (population 18,000).
Responsibilities Teach undergraduate courses in Human Anatomy, Human Physiology and potentially Microbiology or other area of expertise.
Qualifications  
Required: Ph.D. in Biology or closely related field with an emphasis on human anatomy, human physiology and/or microbiology. ABD candidates will be considered, provided the Ph.D. is confirmed by the start of appointment.

Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Preferred: Teaching experience at the college freshman/sophomore level, especially involving teaching and engaging diverse student populations.
