Position Summary: Responsibilities include teaching traditional, hybrid, and distance education formats at the undergraduate and graduate level in a Cross-categorical Special Education and Early Childhood Special Education Program. Other professional responsibilities include supervision of related field experiences, co-teaching Master level research and thesis courses, research, professional development, scholarly activities, service, and student advising.
Responsibilities

Teaching - 75%

Supervision - 15%

Scholarship/Service - 10%

Qualifications  
Required: • Earned doctorate in Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or related field
• Three or more years teaching students with IEPs in K-12 settings as a special educator
• Demonstrated ability to teach courses in Special Education and/or Early Childhood Special Education
• Experience teaching in online and face-to-face formats
• Demonstrated leadership potential, high energy level, ability to self-initiate and contribute to department, college, and university goals
Preferred: • Three years of experience teaching Special Education Birth to Age 8
• Experience co-planning and co-teaching in higher education settings
• Experience teaching in inclusive PK-12 settings
• Early Childhood Special Education curriculum and assessment
• Highly desirable areas of expertise include: special education literacy intervention, special education math intervention, augmentative communication, assessment and methods of teaching students with mild disabilities, STEAM for ECSE/primary grades
• Experience in grant writing, grant implementation, and related research
