Position Summary:

Program Assistant for the UWO Marching Band and UWO Athletic Bands - Establish and maintain a comprehensive model of business services, with emphasis in finances, logistics and operational support management for the Titan Thunder Marching Band and Athletic Bands, and provide additional program support as needed within the Department of Music. This position is characterized by a variety of business, fiscal and administrative duties that require knowledge of applicable policies, procedures, and information systems in order to communicate and process information. The successful candidate will be personable and will productively engage others to accomplish the shared goals of the Music Department and the Titan Marching Band/Athletic Band program. Some evenings, weekends, and travel required during marching season and special events.

Program marketing and customer service. 
Budget management, purchasing, summarizing and reconciling information and financial data.
Travel and event planning game day and rehearsal logistics other closely related functions. 
General program coordination, inventory management and various logistics.
Student worker supervision.
Required: At least three years of experience in a related position

Strong customer service skills (accountability, flexibility, adaptability, attention-to-detail, initiative, integrity, teamwork, and clear communication with a diverse and vast group of constituents)

Demonstrated technical skills including:
-use of financial applications to create and update records
-managing, analyzing and displaying data
-budget management
-experience with Microsoft Office suite programs including Word, Access, Excel and

Organizational skills

Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
Preferred: Associates degree or higher

Previous work experience in an educational setting

Work experience in an arts or music environment

Experience working in a high-volume, high-traffic work environment with flexible work hours and willingness to work outside of standard work hours when necessary
