Network Engineer Level III

This position is in the Infrastructure team and reports to a team lead deploying and maintaining wired and wireless network infrastructure. Work assignments require knowledge of network technologies, operating systems, configurations and tools as well as understanding of network protocols. Evaluation and design skills are required for creating and maintaining a high-performing, stable, and secure wireless network infrastructure that will accommodate emerging technologies.
Responsibilities for the individual in this position include planning, and implementation of network technologies. The systems include commodity and specialized hardware, software, and security systems.
In addition, exceptional communication skills, both oral and written are essential, as the incumbent in this position must possess the ability to determine and understand institutional and user needs and to relate those needs in the form of network deployment, performance, or programming specifications. A majority of the position’s work can be completed remotely, but will require an on site presence at all facilities (in Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, and Fox Cities) as necessary.
This individual works with only general guidance and supervision, demonstrating a high degree of mastery, reliably and consistently in a variety of complex situations. The individual must be able to synthesize multidimensional knowledge of a wide range of tools, protocols, and platforms; analyze and solve new and complex problems; and design solutions under general oversight. The person in this position will be expected to answer questions for others with less experience.

Student Life Coordinator

The Fond du Lac Student Life Coordinator reports to the Reeve Union Associate Director for Student Involvement and has specialized responsibilities for the overall administration of student programs (clubs and organizations), student government/leadership and its related activities on the Fond du Lac campus. The Student Life Coordinator is the campus expert and resource for student clubs and organizations, their administration, and their budgets.
The person in this position will be eligible to apply for other 0.5 FTE or less benefitted or LTE positions on campus. |
Career Development Manager

Join a dedicated team that services as a central point for all students at UW Oshkosh for career development. Staff work on all three campuses and partner with faculty in the classroom. Advisors work with students one on one and in small groups to learn about industries and positions. |
Maintenance Mechanic

Fond du Lac Campus

|
Assists with facility and equipment maintenance, and repairs to ensure property meets established standards and to minimize downtime on the campus and equipment. Assists with other departments and event preparation as needed.
Must pass a pre-work screen to ensure the ability to perform essential physical functions of the position. Must have a valid WI driver’s license and be authorized to drive a University vehicle upon appointment. This position will require a criminal background investigation.
