||This position will be a primary counselor at the access campus sites. The counselor will travel between the Fox Valley, Fond Du Lac and Oshkosh campuses. They will provide ongoing individual and group counseling, consultation, outreach, training, crisis management, coordination of programs and wellness services.
Provide a full range of mental health/wellness services to UW Oshkosh students at all three campuses:
• Conduct assessment
• Provide career/academic counseling
• Crisis intervention/prevention
• Consultation to student/staff/faculty/community/families/et..
• Case management for referrals
• Development and provision of outreach programming
• Development and provision of training
• Supervision of interns
Implementation and follow up of student retention and engagement survey on access campuses
Implementation and oversight of outreach campaigns on access campuses
Collaboration with various campus entities
Positive communication and interactions with center staff and university constituents
Exhibit multicultural competence in provision of services
Other duties as assigned
A masters degree in counseling, social work and/or mental health related field is required.
Mandatory to be fully licensed in the state of Wisconsin within the first year of employment.
Strong clinical knowledge and skills to be able to provide counseling/treatment to a wide array of student concerns.
Multicultural competence in a clinical, educational setting.
Ability to provide outreach/training in a professional engaging manner.
Commitment to providing best practice and innovative services to college students.
An understanding and knowledge of the use of positive psychology practices.
Previous experience in a college counseling center
